NATALIE DOCHERTY
Sports Massage Therapist
Natalie joined our Aristos Team as Personal Trainer and Group Coach in 2021, after completing her Level 3 Personal Trainer Diploma through our Aristos Fitness Academy! She also now holds a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage.
Here is Natalie’s health and fitness story…
“I have always had a great relationship with sport and exercise, and which has been a driving force for the life I live. From playing multiple sports to high level football throughout my teenage years, health and fitness always has played a huge role within my life.
Over the past few years, competing in various sports has evolved into sport and fitness coaching. Through this evolution I have gained an honours degree in Sports Coaching and Development, where I enhanced my skills as a coach through a multitude of modules and placements. Within my time at University, I completed an array of coaching courses including my SFA children 1.1-1.3 badges, my goalkeeping 1.1-1.3, and most recently my Level 3 Personal Training (PT) qualification.
Completing my Level 3 PT course was one of the best things I could have done, as through this role at Aristos I have gained a much greater understanding of the health and fitness industry. Prior to joining Aristos, I focused solely on the competitive side of fitness; and saw it only as a way of increasing sporting ability or losing weight. However, I quickly became aware that everyone has their own individual goals which make them happy, and there are many different reasons why someone would want to start / maintain their own fitness journey. Watching people achieve these goals such as gaining more energy, gaining confidence and being more mobile makes me extremely happy, and are just a few of the things I love about coaching and Personal Training.
Professional development as a coach is crucial and I am passionate about continuing to learn and expand my own knowledge. Within the next few months I will be completing a Sports Massage course alongside my Level 3 Nutrition qualification. I enjoy the variety of different options that sport and fitness have to offer and can’t wait to explore them further.”
